Tartu Running Marathon, which is a long-standing tradition for the locals, has a new name this year – the event, which will be carried out for the 36th time this year on Mother’s Day, is now named Tartu Forest Marathon.
Every year, the largest cross-country running event in the Baltics brings more than 4,000 runners to enjoy the route between Otepää and Elva. There are four main distances: 42, 23, 10, and 5 km. Nordic walkers are also welcome. The marathon programme also includes a Charity Run and children’s runs.
